Inflammatory
Breast Cancer Resolution (Supporting efforts to raise awareness, improve education,
and encourage research of inflammatory breast cancer), H.Res.395
Calls for greater awareness and attention to this rare, deadly form of cancer.

Alice Paul Women’s Suffrage Congressional
Gold Medal Act, H.R. 406
Requires the Speaker of the House of
Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate to make
arrangements for the presentation of a congressional gold medal in
commemoration of Alice Paul, to recognize her role in the women's suffrage
movement and in advancing equal rights for women. Authorizes the Secretary of
the Treasury to strike and sell duplicates in bronze of such medal. Requires
proceeds from the sale of such medals to be deposited into the U.S. Mint Public
Enterprise Fund.
Girl Scouts USA Centennial Commemorative Coin
Act, H.R. 621
Directs the Secretary of the Treasury to mint and issue up to 350,000 $1 coins in commemoration of the centennial of the founding of the Girl Scouts of the USA. Signed by the President on 10/29/2009.
Mother’s Day Centennial Commemorative Coin
Act, H.R. 2421
Instructs the Secretary of the Treasury to mint and issue not more than
400,000 $1 coins emblematic of the 100th anniversary of President Wilson's
proclamation designating the second Sunday in May as Mother's Day. Authorizes
the Secretary to issue such coins beginning January 1, 2014, except that the
Secretary may initiate sales of such coins, without issuance, before such date.
Terminates such minting authority after December 31, 2014. Requires coin sales
to include a $10 surcharge per coin, with distribution of such surcharges to
the Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Osteoporosis Foundation for
the purpose of furthering research.

Supports the goals of National Women’s Health Week. Passed in the House.
Mammogram
and MRI Availability Act, H.R.
995
Requires group health plans offering diagnostic mammography for women 40 years
and older to provide coverage for annual screening mammography and annual
magnetic resonance imaging for any high risk woman.
Heart
Disease Education, Analysis Research, and Treatment for Women Act, H.R. 1032
Provides for new drug application requirements specifying; requires some health
data to include information about the patient’s sex; requires the distribution
to females age 65 or older and appropriate health care professionals
educational materials relating to the prevention diagnosis and treatment of
heart disease, stroke, and cardiovascular diseases in women.

Cancer and Patient Protection Act, H.R. 1691
Improves protections for individuals receiving treatment for breast cancer –
guaranteed hospital stays.
Breast
Cancer Education and Awareness Requires Learning Young Act, H.R. 1740
Provides for efforts to increase education about breast cancer among young
women.
A Resolution supporting National Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer
Week, H.Res. 1522
Expressing support for designation of the last week of September as National Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer Week and the last Wednesday of September as National Survivor Day.
Women Veterans Health Care Improvement Act, H.R. 1211
Requires a study of the problems women in the military face with getting care;
makes improvements to the health care of women in the military. Passed
in the House.
